MICKEY HAS HEARD OUR PRAYERS
TANGLED HSLFBAGSKS I’M SO EXCITED
It’s because it was fake. Disney released a statement that said “it was actually fake artwork “made from old character designs” and does not truly represent the film.”
You can read the statement here:

This includes Under the Sea-Journey of the Little Mermaid, Be Our Guest restaurant, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Ariel’s Grotto, Gaston’s Tavern, and Bonjour! Village Gifts.
Previews start November 19th!
Princess Fairytale Hall opens in 2013, and Snow White’s Mine Train in 2014. [x]
Being a fan of both Sephora and Disney Princess this makes me feel super excited! Yay for expensive makeup featuring Disney Princess characters!
Let’s hope that Rapunzel will be part of the makeup line *fingers crosses*

THE TWELFTH DISNEY PRINCESS
We know that Merida has officially joined the gang of Disney Princesses as the eleventh princess. However, who knew the twelfth was going to come so soon?
Princess Anna, from the upcoming Disney film, Frozen, is a princess voiced by actress Kristen Bell. The film, based on Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen, will be coming to theaters next year, and princess Anna is said to be joining the rest of royal ladies in the Disney Princess Franchise, just like Pixar’s Merida just did.
It is!
The movie has been in talk & production for quite some time now.
The picture is the first official one released for the movie, posted on the Disney Facebook page & Twitter.
Angelina Jolie is DEFINITELY playing Maleficent, and Elle Fanning will be playing Aurora.
I’ve been looking forward to this movie for YEARS! Back in the days when Tim Burton was in talks of being the director. Now Robert Stromberg will be directing; his first time doing so. He’s worked on visual effects in movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Newsies, Cast Away, and 2012; and was production director on Avatar & Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. I’m really, really excited for this!
Yes? Yes.
Well Elle Fanning is going to play Aurora AND I LOVE HER
This makes me even more excited for the movie!
YES! YES YES YES! I’m so excited for this film! And the two of them together in this movie? It should be amazing!
(I realize this casting news is a bit old, but hey!)
According to this WDW character blog, Merida will be Pixar’s first face character, and will start making appearances in May of this year.
I really hope this is true!
Walt Disney World’s Epcot - Test Track Rehab
over the weekend Disney finally announced an extensive refurbishment of the popular Test Track attraction that will re-enforce the message of original EPCOT. The new Test Track will be an “immersive experience in the design process of the vehicles they see on the road today and will see in the future.” The new Test Track attraction will allow guests to become car designers. Guest will create and design concept vehicles. The cars guest designed will then be put to the test as guest board a “SimCar” to test them out on a rigorous Track Circuit.
The new Test Track will also feature a new post-show experience where guests will be able to evaluate the car concept they designed. Guests will also be able to view all of the new and exciting concepts that Chevrolet is working on.
This means that Test Track will be closed from April 2012 until Fall 2012, when Chevrolet will be celebrating their 100th anniversary. When the new Test Track re-opens it will “….enable General Motors to tell its story in new and exciting ways to millions of Guests from around the world and continue as the official vehicle sponsor of Walt Disney World Resort.”It is likely that the physical ride system and track layout will remain exactly the same. The Test Track ride system is very complex and would probably require a much longer amount of time to rebuild. However rumors indicated that the new ride may incorporate RFID technology that will allow the ride to provide different shows to each rider based on how they design their vehicle. Disney conducted an RFID experiment in early december 2011 on Test Track. A memo that was released to cast members read: “We often test new concepts and technologies in our parks as part of our ongoing innovation process to make the entire Guest experience even better. As part of that effort, we will be testing a new technology at Epcot at Test Track, December 6-7. The technology we are testing may or may not end up as part of our park offerings.”
With this new overlay it seems that Test Track will fit the message of EPCOT with guest being able to experience first hand a demonstration of new technological advances in the automotive field. This ride is also sponsored by a company that truly represents the American industry. I am really sad that I won’t get to ride this iconic Disney attraction in the summer when I visit, but I am sure this refurbishment will bring good things for the ride and meaning behind Epcot.
I’m glad I’ll get to ride the regular Test Track before they do all this. I’m trying to stay open to new ideas and changes, so I hope it’ll be good when it’s finished.
“Director Jon Favreau and Walt Disney Pictures plan to produce and release a film concerning a family at Disneyland which finds the theme park characters and attractions coming to life.
Favreau, who said “the Disney iconography was probably the first set of archetypes that I was exposed to” and that Disney movies and attractions “made a deep impression on me as a child”, noted that, “When I first heard about the [‘Magic Kingdom’ film] project, I was on my way to visit Disneyland with my family. I took notes and had no problem filling a book with all the ideas that this concept offered, even on first blush.”
Marc Abraham and Eric Newman of Strike Entertainment are scheduled to produce the film. Writer-producer Ronald D. Moore had previously written an original script for the project, which the studio eventually declined to use, stating that Favreau and a new screenwriter will develop a new script. On June 20, 2011, Spider-Man 2 story contributor, Michael Chabon signed on to write the film’s script.”
Is it just me, or does this sound like they are taking The Kingdom Keepers series as inspiration for this? I was hoping they’d make a TKK movie about the books themselves.
(from Wikipedia, so I don’t know how reliable it is)
“The Jungle Cruise is an announced Disney motion picture loosely inspired by the theme park attraction of the same name.
The film, originally scheduled for release in 2007, has experienced various delays and changes. Shooting of the film, originally scheduled for 2006, was postponed. Moreover, the original screenplay by Josh Goldstein and John Norville was reportedly rewritten by Al Gough and Miles Millar.
The film follows a group’s riverboat journey through a jungle in search of a cure. Further details have not been forthcoming, apart from confirmation that the film is set in the twentieth century.
It has been announced that Tom Hanks and Tim Allen will star in the film.”
